Noel's Smile was chosen as for the Sony World Photography Organisation awards. My work was selected from 95,541 images entered from photographers across 186 countries. It was exhibited at Somerset House, London as part of the 2016 Sony World Photography Awards exhibition. And it traveled the world with the exhibition tour that followed.
The picture was part of a charitable campaign promoting men's health and a drive for the Movember charity.
I had the honor to be shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize. “Thinking about my father” was on display for three months in the National Portrait Gallery amongst the best out of the 4000 submissions. As one of the most significant portrait awards the competition was covered by the Creative Review, TimeOut, The Telegraph and The Guardian.
We have won an award for Excellence in Recruitment Communications at the RAD awards. I worked in collaboration with Stafford Long and partners focusing on photographic art direction and execution. The judges feedback was that our work was ‘fresh, creative, honest and clean’.
The campaign was very visual and personal. A variety of photographic approaches and styles were employed. I contributed with portrait photography supporting our interview content and with architectural photography of our building and the surrounding area. This is a second RAD nomination and our fourth year of collaboration.
An advertorial assignment for the Pride network at Norton Rose Fulbright
Editorial photographic project telling the story of the Factory Theatre during one of their rehearsals. Being a fly on the wall and being able to get up close and examine details, interactions and quiet moments or in the midst of a heated scene was a dream assignment. I witnessed their bold approach to theatre on stage for their rendition of Macbeth, set in an experimental, fluid and unpredictable way. The pictures turned into a photo feature article in the Re: magazine.
